The\nword or term pizza in &#8220;DOMINO&#8217;S PIZZA&#8221; term is generic or common, and\nother businesses have unrestricted access to it. Therefore, no claim is made to\nthe exclusive right to use &#8220;pizza&#8221; apart from the mark.<\/li><li><strong><em>Microsoft Corporation<\/em><\/strong>:\nThe words corporation is generic as it describes the type and structure of a\nbusiness. As an outcome, no claim is made to the exclusive right to use\n&#8220;Corporation&#8221; apart from the mark as shown. For example, Italian Leather, Glassware from Venice, etc.<\/li><li><strong><em>Popular Symbols<\/em><\/strong>:\nCommon symbols provide details regarding your products and services, such as\nthe bio-hazard symbol for medical waste containers, the prescription symbol for\nmedical goods\/products, for example; the dollar sign or symbol for financial\nservices, the tree symbol is for a green product, etc.<\/li><li><strong><em>Informational Words<\/em><\/strong>:\nSuch words only provide general information of products or services like net\nvolume, net weight, lists of content, addresses &amp; contact\ninformation\/details, establishment years, etc., require disclaimer for use by\nanother party in the business.<\/li><li><strong><em>Business Type Designations<\/em><\/strong>:\nThe structure &amp; type of the business can vary in the current world.\nDepending upon the size &amp; complexity of ownership, the last name varies.\nBut, the structure &amp; type of the businesses can be the same and hence\ncannot be safeguarded under Trademark Registration. For example, Inc., Ltd.,\nCorporation, Bros., etc.<\/li><li><strong><em>Deceptively Misdescriptive\nDesigns or Words<\/em><\/strong>: Designs or words that clarify\na product or service in a way that is both credible &amp; incorrect but will\nnot affect the customer purchasing decision as it is not essentially linked to\nthe quality of the good or services. Such words or designs need a disclaimer\nfor use by other businesses &amp; individuals.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_can_you_submit_a_Trademark_Disclaimer\"><\/span>How can you\nsubmit a Trademark Disclaimer?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants\ncan reply to a disclaimer requirement in a non-final Office Action using the <strong><em>Response\nto Office Action Form <\/em><\/strong>by <strong><em>TEAS or Trademark Electronic Application\nSystem. <\/em><\/strong>It comprises any required statement &amp; supporting\ndeclaration language mentioned in the Office Action.
