Under the ISI Certification scheme, more than\n346 products require an ISI Mark Certification mandatorily. The applicant must choose and\nidentify an ISI Standard product code for their food product.<\/li><li><strong>Filling\nthe Application<\/strong>: after we select the ISI Standard product code, we will\napply for ISI Mark Certification. Further, the applicant must pay the\nprescribed fee and the registration fees for inspection.<\/li><li><strong>Inspection\nby BIS of the Factory Premise<\/strong>: After filing the Application, the BIS\nOfficer and the inspection team will go to the factory premise of the applicant\nand inspect the quality control and manufacturing procedure. <\/li><li><strong>Submit\nReport of Sample<\/strong>: it is mandatory to submit a sample report of the food\nproduct from the certified labs and submit it to BIS.<\/li><li><strong>Grant of\nISI Mark Certificate<\/strong>: after all process is completed, the BIS grant an ISI\nMark Certificate. The procedure of obtaining ISI Mark Certification takes 30\ndays from the date of Application.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Note: ISI Mark Certificate is\nvalid for one year, and then it can be further renewed by applying for renewal\nand paying the audit renewal fees. A Practising CA must investigate the\nApplication for the renewal. <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Reasons_for_the_Rejection_of_the_ISI_Mark_Application\"><\/span>The Reasons for the Rejection of the ISI\nMark Application<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>These are some norms &amp; conditions which, if not complied with, then\nBIS reject the ISI Mark application:-<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>If there is not sufficient technical personnel with the manufacturer;<\/li><li>If there is a failure on the manufacturer&#8217;s part, assist in visiting the office at the time of visit to the factory.<\/li><li>The firm or the applicant is indulging in unethical practice;<\/li><li>In case the firm has not submitted genuine documents ;<\/li><li>In case there is a vast digression in the manufacturing facility from the declared (BIS Official) facility;<\/li><li>The samples of product drawn for testing fail the test;<\/li><li>In case there are lack of facilities for testing by the manufacturer;<\/li><li>In case there is non-conformity in factory testing of product samples during the second time.&nbsp; <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Note: Before rejecting the ISI\nMark application for a food product, the BIS will give you a 21-day notice\nperiod to hear in person through a representative.
