Any manufacturer wanting to manufacture an amplifier must obtain BIS Certification for Amplifier. Without this, no manufacturer can trade or sell its products in India. If they\ndon&#8217;t have a branch office in India. An Authorised Indian Representative as a\nLocal Representative is responsible for submitting &amp; manage the application\nfor certification &amp; is available to answer all the questions. Following are\nsome important points to be followed by the Foreign Manufacturer to appoint the\nAIR:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>If the product manufacturer doesn&#8217;t have an office in India &amp; there is no registered user of the brand\/Trademark appearing on the product or article located in India, then the other entity will become the <strong>Authorised Indian Representative (AIR);<\/strong><sub><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bis.gov.in\/index.php\/fmcs\/certification-process\/nomination-of-authorized-indian-representative\/#:~:text=The%20Authorized%20Indian%20Representative%20(AIR,Licence%2C%20Agreement%2C%20Undertaking%20etc.\" class=\"text-primary\"><strong>[1]<\/strong><\/a><\/sub><\/li><li>If the Foreign Manufacturer has a branch or a liaison office in India, then they will be designated as AIR;<\/li><li>If the Foreign Manufacturer doesn&#8217;t have an office or a branch office in India, but the registered user\/proprietor of the brand appearing in the article is located in India, the brand owner will become AIR.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Important_Points_Need_to_be_Considered_to_Obtain_BIS_Certification_in_India\"><\/span>Important Points Need to be\nConsidered to Obtain BIS Certification in India<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>All the vital documents must be signed by the\nbrand owner, Indian Representative, and manufacturer and additional documents\nshould be notarised &amp; stamped by the Brand owner&amp; the Indian\nRepresentative.<\/li><li>In CDF (Construction Data Form), product details\nshall be filled correctly &amp; in CCL (Critical), product components\ninformation should be filed properly.<\/li><li>All the crucial documents shall be ready before\nthe sample\u2019s testing.<\/li><li>Select the BIS-certified testing organisation\n&amp; an experienced compliance partner until you have an office and\/or the\nexpertise in India that can help you.<\/li><li>Before the samples&#8217; shipment, ensure complete\narrangements have been made for the entire shipment from your location to the\ntesting lab&#8217;s door.<\/li><li>Another vital point you should consider while\nchoosing a lab for product testing is that the License of the lab should be\ncorrect, valid &amp; not suspended &amp; at that time, the lab shall not be in\nthe middle of\/about to get audited.<\/li><li>The test report of the product&#8217;s sample is valid\nfor 3 months; before its expiry test report should be submitted to BIS.
