Various schemes have been combined into SFURTI Scheme since its inception. equipment for artisans;<\/li><li>To organise the conventional\nindustries and artisans into clusters for better competitiveness;<\/li><li>To establish the artisans&#8217; skills;<\/li><li>To look for establishing of\nmulti-product cluster with an integrated value chain &amp; a market-driven\napproach for the long-term sustainability of the cluster;<\/li><li>To know and recognise target\nclients of the cluster, understand their needs &amp; develop &amp; show product\nlines to fulfil the requirement. An extensive focus should be on the buyer\nsegment;<\/li><li>To make a great investment in\nthe part of product design &amp; quality improvement. Moreover, to standardise\nthe quality of processes &amp; inputs so that the products may fulfil the\nquality standards. Proper research should be done to develop new textures to\nprovide the market trends prevailing in the market;<\/li><li>To furnish continued employment\nchances for conventional industry artisans and rural entrepreneurs;<\/li><li>To enhance cluster governance\nsystems with the active participation of stakeholders so that they can gauge the\nopportunities &amp; challenges and address them;<\/li><li>To\nensure convergence from the design phase;<\/li><li>To develop precise product\nlines out of the currently provided diversified basket of varied products based\non the knowledge of the target clients. A brand unification operation should be\ndone to maximise the value.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Funding_Details_of_SFURTI_Scheme\"><\/span>Funding Details of SFURTI Scheme<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nfinancial support to be provided under this scheme by the Government for\nvarious projects is subjected to a maximum amount of Rs. 8 crores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<table class=\"wp-block-table\"><tbody><tr><td>\n  <strong>Types\n  of Clusters<\/strong>\n  <\/td><td>\n  Per Cluster Budget Limit\n  <\/td><\/tr><tr><td>\n  Heritage Clusters (1000 to\n  2500 artisans)\n  <\/td><td>\n  Rs. 8 crore\n  <\/td><\/tr><tr><td>\n  Major Clusters (500 to 1000\n  artisans)\n  <\/td><td>\n  Rs. 3 crore\n  <\/td><\/tr><tr><td>\n  Mini Clusters (up to 500\n  artisans)\n  <\/td><td>\n  Rs. 1 crore \n  <\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Eligible_Companies_that_Provide_Loans_under_SFURTI_Scheme\"><\/span>Eligible Companies that Provide Loans under SFURTI Scheme<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Field functionaries of Central\nGovernment and State Governments;<\/li><li>NGOs (Non-Government\nOrganisations);<\/li><li>Private sector by establishing cluster-specific\nSPVs;<\/li><li>Pris (Panchayat Raj\nInstitutions);<\/li><li>CSR Foundations;<\/li><li>Semi-Government Institutions\n&amp; Institutions of the State and Central Government.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Beneficiaries_and_Target_Sectors_SFURTI_Scheme\"><\/span>Beneficiaries and Target Sectors: SFURTI Scheme<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The\npossible beneficiaries and target sectors are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Co-operatives, SHGs, artisan\nguilds, consortiums, enterprise associations, etc.;<\/li><li>Workers, machinery makers,\nartisans, institutional &amp; private business development service providers;<\/li><li>Executing agencies, field\nfunctionaries of government organisations and policymakers involved in\ntraditional industries.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Criteria_for_Selection_of_Clusters\"><\/span>Criteria for\nSelection of Clusters<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nselection of clusters is based on their geographical concentration, which has\nto be approx 500 beneficiary families of micro-enterprises or artisans, raw\nmaterials suppliers, service providers, traders etc., which is situated within\none or two revenue sub-divisions in a district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The possible growth in employment chances and production generation will be deemed in picking clusters under the <strong>SFURTI Scheme<\/strong><sup><a class=\"text-primary\" href=\"https:\/\/msme.gov.in\/scheme-fund-regeneration-traditional-industries\"><strong>[1]<\/strong><\/a><\/sup>. The geographical distribution of clusters in the nation, with a minimum of 10% in the North-East region, shall be kept in knowledge while picking clusters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Financial_Support\"><\/span>Financial\nSupport<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nfinancial assistance for any project will be a maximum of Rs. 8 crores:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>For noteworthy clusters (500 to\n1000 artisans), Rs. 3 crores budget limit will be provided;<\/li><li>In the case of the North-East\nRegion of Jammu &amp; Kashmir and the Hilly States, there would be a 50%\nreduction in the artisan&#8217;s number per cluster;<\/li><li>For heritage clusters (around\n1000 to 2500 artisans), Rs. 8 crores budget limit will be offered;<\/li><li>In the case of mini-cluster (up\nto 500 artisans), Rs. 1.50 crores budget limit will be offered.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_to_Apply_for_SFURTI_Scheme\"><\/span>How to Apply for SFURTI Scheme?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To\napply for under this scheme, eligible companies, entities, organisations, or\nagencies are required to submit the proposal to the KVIC, State Office, and the\nsame is checked at the State Level and Zonal Level before submitting to the\nScheme Steering Committee for final consent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Implementing_Agencies\"><\/span>Implementing Agencies<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nimplementing agencies would consist of NGOs (Non-Governmental Organisations),\ninstitutions of the State and Central Governments and Semi-Government\nInstitutions, field functionaries of the State and Central Government,\nPanchayati Raj Institutions, etc. the proper expertise to undertake cluster\ndevelopment. One IA would be allotted for one cluster unless it is an agency\nwith state-wide coverage. It also delivers skill development of artisans, establishing\ninstitutions, capacity building. Other measures taken are exposure visits of\nartisans, development, and product design.<\/li><li><strong><em>Hard Interventions<\/em><\/strong>:\nSet up clusters for numerous products and packaging. Other initiatives consist\nof raw material banks, common facility centres, technology up-gradation,\nwarehousing facilities, and common facility centres.<\/li><li><strong><em>Thematic Interventions<\/em><\/strong>:\nThis comprises several clusters in one sector that highlights both national and\ninternational markets. These efforts are supported by marketing campaigns,\nbrand building and reaching out to new markets &amp; clients by collaborating\nwith e-commerce websites.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Conclusion\"><\/span>Conclusion<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Fund Scheme for Regeneration of Traditional Industries or the SFURTI Scheme was initiated by the MSME, Government of India in 2005 to encourage cluster development.
