musical, literary or artistic works is the lifetime of the author plus the 60 years, while in the case of cinematograph films, posthumous publication, records, work of international agencies and government, the term is 60 years from the date of publication. The question of infringement may be solved by comparing the two works as a whole. It is not a necessary factor of the infringement that the infringer had intention to infringe. Such conditions include the use of copyrighted work for\nstudy, review, news reporting, and research, used in library, schools and\nlegislations, criticism. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Using\ncopyrighted work for such purposes is permitted without the need to obtain the\nauthorization or permission of the copyright owner. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Acts that do not amount to copyright infringement in India are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Fair use &#8211; a necessary defence against the copyright infringement, defined under the section 53 of the Copyright Act.
