India announced the <strong>National Electric Mobility Mission Plan (NEMMP) 2020<\/strong>\u2019 in 2013 to acknowledge the<strong> issues of National energy security<\/strong>, vehicular pollution, and growth of domestic manufacturing capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Government of India has plans to bring the paradigm shift in the automobile industry by bringing in the use of <strong>Electric vehicles<\/strong>, as committed in the Paris Agreement. The Paris agreement deals with greenhouse-gas-emission mitigation, adaptation, and finance within the <strong>United Nations Framework Convention<\/strong> on <strong>Climate Change (UNFCCC)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It has been noticed that the government has been making strategies and working on policies for the <strong>promotion of electric slowly incorporate these changes in the cities with a population of one million plus. There are certainly <strong>identified corridors<\/strong> that are busier in relation to others such as Mumbai-Pune and Delhi-Chandigarh etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Future_businesses_possibilities\"><\/span>Future businesses possibilities<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are someone who is thinking of entering into a <strong>business of electric automobiles<\/strong>, then let us inform you that the government may throw a challenge for automakers to set up a manufacturing facility for e-vehicles, batteries, and charging infrastructure in India; according to the report published by the <strong>ET (Economic Times )<\/strong> in September last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Planning\"><\/span>Planning<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the latest revelations by the government, it is found that <strong>instead of announcing the E-automobile revolution<\/strong> throughout India, Government is planning to start with the cities with a large sum of population and higher pollution level that has a wider range of vehicles used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Future_plans\"><\/span>Future plans<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Government has still not unveiled the proper guidelines or sketch for the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Automotive_industry\"><strong>E-automobile industry<\/strong><\/a>, but still, the main focus is to bring in the use of e-vehicles in place of at least one-third of the <strong>petrol and diesel vehicles<\/strong> by 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Charging_stations\"><\/span>Charging stations<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Although infrastructure for charging the electric vehicles has not been fully planned yet, however, there have been initiatives to make community charging stations at different places and further <strong>set up solar-powered charging points<\/strong> at the existing fuel stations in India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Subsidies_Provided_Schemes_Launched_to_Promote_Electric_Vehicles_by_the_Government_of_India\"><\/span>Subsidies Provided\/ Schemes Launched to Promote Electric Vehicles by the Government of India<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Subsidies_provided_by_the_government\"><\/span>Subsidies provided by the government<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In the year of 2010, Government of India announced a <strong>subsidy of Rs. 950 million<\/strong> in the field of an electric vehicle through the <strong>Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Benefits_of_the_government_scheme\"><\/span>Benefits of the government scheme<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This scheme managed to benefit the consumers by availing the<strong> benefits up to 20%<\/strong> on ex-factory price such as the <strong>benefit of Rs. 1,00,000 on electric cars<\/strong>, <strong>Rs. 4000 on two-wheelers<\/strong>, <strong>Rs. 5000 on high-speed two-wheelers<\/strong>, <strong>Rs. 4,00,000 on electric mini busses<\/strong>, and <strong>Rs. 60,000 on three-wheelers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_to_take_advantage_of_subsidies\"><\/span>How to take advantage of subsidies<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The condition to take advantage of this subsidy, the manufacturer just needs to make sure that <strong>30% of the components<\/strong> must be made in India and this <strong>scheme closed on 31 March 2002<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Long-term_plan\"><\/span>Long-term plan<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>India is planning to have seven million electric vehicles running on the road by 2020. And as noticed by the certified sources of the government, automobiles use has been the major <strong>cause of this lethal pollution level<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Global_issue\"><\/span>Global issue<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>At the global level, there is a necessity to <strong>limit the global warming<\/strong> caused by the <strong>greenhouse gas emissions<\/strong>; that asks us to bring a shift in the automobile industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Saving_money\"><\/span>Saving money<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There is a need to bring down the over-reliance on the economy generated by the Fossil-fuel.
