How to Change GST Registration details of a Business

While filling the application of GST registration details, there may be a possibility of entering the wrong information or there may be a requirement of updating the information under the GST application. In both the cases, a business owner can update or make changes in the filled details, so as to correct the mistake.

When you can update the information in the GST Registration details?

You can make the changes in the GST registration application

  • At the time of the processing of the application
  • Or if your business has already been registered under the GST (that is the application of GST registration is already gone under the processing).

List of fields, whose Information can be updated or Changed

When you try to make the changes in the information provided in the GST application, there are certain areas where you can make the changes-

  • Name of the business (Changes made here will be reflected in every state)
  • Address of the business place
  • Additional place of business
  • Changes in the partners, directors, managing committee, CEO of the company
  • Updating/correction of mobile number, or e-mail address of the authorized signatory

If you are looking to make the amendments in apart from the sections mentioned above, then you just need to submit the Form GST REG-14 on the common portal. And regarding that, no inspection is done by the GST officer.

However, if you have made any mistake in the details of PAN card details, then let us inform you that there is no way to make the changes in the  PAN card details. The only way to make changes is by filing the fresh application of GST registration using the FORM GST REG-01.
