Online Procedure for Trademark Registration in Mizoram

Step 1: Trademark Search: It’s always better to conduct a Trademark Search for the appropriate classes before filing the Trademark application to register a Trademark to ensure that there is no similar Trademark already registered or for which a Trademark application has been submitted.

Step 2: Filing of an Application: Then, the owner must file an application and submit it to the Trademark Office of the Trademark Registry.

Step 4: Publication of the Trademark Application: After or before acceptance of the Trademark application in the Trademark Journal.

Step 5: Opposition by 3rd Party: After publication, if any individual gives notice of their opposition to the Trademark Registration within 3 months which may be extended to the maximum of one month.

Step 6: Hearing Before Registrar: If the opposition has been decided in favour of the candidate of the Trademark Registration, the Trademark Registrar shall register the Trademark.

Step 7: Trademark Registration: On the Registration, the Trademark Registrar will issue a Trademark Registration Certificate to the applicant.
